Outline According to the Disaster Management Centre of Sri Lanka, 819, 759 people belonging to 215, 996 families have been affected by floods caused by torrential rains. Batticaloa, Ampara, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa, Nuwara Eliya, Moneragala, Kandy, Badulla, and Kegalle Districts were affected by floods.
