Outline High temperature and rapid snow and glacier melting from 1 to 15 July 2015 triggered mudflows in villages of Shugnan District, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO), Tajikistan. The mudflow that occurred on 16 July 2015 caused significant damage to infrastructure and households in the villages. About 10,000 evacuated to safer sites.
