2025/08/24 Viet Nam : Typhoon As on 25 August 2025, Typhoon Kajiki, the fifth to affect Vietnam this year, is currently at sea, roiling the Gulf of Tonkin with waves of up to 9.5 meters (31 feet). According to media reports, four people died, over 50 others remain missing, and several buildings were buried by the debris. 2025/07/28 China : Flood Thirty people were killed in Beijing, China as of midnight on Monday, 28 July 2025 as almost a year's worth of rain hit the capital in a matter of days, the official Xinhua news agency reported on Tuesday, 29 July 2025. 2025/07/24 Lao People's Democratic Republic (the) : Flood Since 24 July 2025, the intense rainfall due to the tropical cyclone WIPHA caused flooding and landslides in northern and central Laos, and the rising water level of the Mekong River, resulting in casualties and widespread damage.

The Thoughts of ADRC

ADRC was founded in 1998 in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
The mission is to enhance disaster resilience of its member countries, to create safe communities where people can live with peace of mind, and to create a society that enables sustainable development.
For the purpose, the ADRC is promoting the establishment of multilateral networks through personnel exchanges and a variety of other programs for disaster risk reduction in Asia.
