2025/03/28 Myanmar Earthquake A strong 7.7 magnitude earthquake has hit central Myanmar on 28 March 2025, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) says. The epicentre was located 16km (10 miles) north-west of Sagaing city and 19 km north-west of Mandalay city at a depth of 10km, according to USGS. The tremors were felt in China and Thailand. 2025/03/28 Thailand Earthquake A strong 7.7 magnitude earthquake has hit central Myanmar on 28 March 2025, the United States Geological Survey says. Flames are estimated to have spread over about 1,200 hectares in the forest of Ofunato in the northern region of Iwate since fire broke out on 26 February, according to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency. 2025/02/17 Peru Flood, Landslide Heavy rainfall has been affecting Peru since January, causing landslides and flooding that have resulted in casualties, affected populations and damage. As of 26 February 2025, at least seven people died and 57,225 people have been affected

The Thoughts of ADRC

ADRC was founded in 1998 in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
The mission is to enhance disaster resilience of its member countries, to create safe communities where people can live with peace of mind, and to create a society that enables sustainable development.
For the purpose, the ADRC is promoting the establishment of multilateral networks through personnel exchanges and a variety of other programs for disaster risk reduction in Asia.
