Severe rain storms across Guizhou Province, south China, have left five people dead and three others missing, the provincial civil affairs department said on 1 June. Non-stop, heavy rain has battered the province for six-consecutive days, affecting more than 120,000 people and damaging 7,900 houses. About 7,600 people have been evacuated and 4,700 people needed living assistance from the state.
