Typhoon Melor (local name: Nona) made a landfall in the Northern Samar, Central Philippines on 14 December 2015. 733,150 people were pre-emptively evacuated in Regions IV-A, IV-B, V, VII, and VIII.

ASEAN 2015/12/14
Typhoon Melor (local name Nona) already made its first landfall in Batag, Northern Samar, Philippines as of this Monday morning, December 14. The public is warned against landslides, flash floods and storm surges. Typhoon Melor is expected to make its second landfall on Sorsogon Province, Bicol Region early tonight. Melor is expected to stay in the country until Friday, December 18.
