Heavy rain has been affecting the country, especially the island of Sulawesi, over the past few days causing floods and landslides. According to official reports, as of 17 July 2016, over 1,350 people have been evacuated and over 735 houses have been damaged in North Konawe Regency (Southeast Sulawesi province, Sulawesi island).
