On 29 October 2019 (AM 9:04, local time), an earthquake of Magnitude 6.6 with the epicenter located southeast of Tulunan, Cotabato in the Philippines occurred. Following the earthquake, on 31 October 2019 (AM 9:11, local time), another earthquake of Magnitude 6.5 affected the same area.

The earthquake caused 8 deaths, and nearly 400 have been injured. The number of casualties and damages is expected to rise as the local authorities continue to conduct assessments.
