Outline	Following widespread floods and landslides triggered by monsoon rain that has been affecting several Districts of the country since the last week of June, the number of casualties and damage is increasing. The worst-hit Districts are Parbat, Lamjung, Gorkha, Kalikot, Syangaja, Gulmi, Bajhang, Darchula, Bajura, Sindhupalchok, Kasi, Myagdi and Jajarkot.

Monsoon rainfall continues to trigger flooding and landslides across Nepal. 22 people have died and 18 people remain missing following a landslide triggered by heavy rain that struck several mountain villages in northeast Nepal on 14 August. According to the Nepal Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), floods and landslides have caused 196 deaths and injured 188 people so far in 2020.

As of 29 July 2020, 141 people have lost their lives, mostly due to landslide in hilly districts, with at least another 57 missing.

As of 15 July, the Disaster Risk Reduction Authority in Nepal (DRR) reports, 116 fatalities and 50 missing people. At least 138 citizens were injured and about 616 families remain affected. According to initial assessment, around 300 houses were damaged.
