Outline | Heavy snowfall, rainfall and low temperatures has affected most of Afghanistan resulting in casualties and widespread disruption to services, blocked roads and significant loss of livestock of livestock between 26 February to 1 March 2024. The provinces most affected are: Badghis, Badakhshan, Faryab, Jawzjan, Kandahar, Helmand and Sari Pul. |

According to public authorities, news agencies, and the Afghan Red Crescent Society, at least 35 human lives have been lost,dozens of people injured, and thousands of livestock perished, depriving affected households of their livelihoods due to the heavy snowfall and cold temperatures.
