Outline | Since the end of July 2024, the torrential rains that have been hit the country have caused floods in all 23 provinces of Chad. According to the Chadian authorities and partners, as of 3 September 2024, 1,495,969 people or 266,590 households are affected by these floods, including 341 deaths. |

Weeks of severe flooding in Chad have affected nearly 2 million people, claiming 576 lives and displacing thousands. The flooding has caused widespread devastation across Lake, Mandoul, Moyen Chari, Tandjilé, and other provinces, including the capital N’Djaména, where thousands of homes and vast agricultural lands have been destroyed.
