Outline Heavy rains fell onto many parts of Nicaragua, due to the combined effect of Hurricane Alma, tropical storm No. 8, and low pressure centers off Nicaragua's Pacific coast and in the Caribbean, forcing the evacuation of a few thousands people and affecting some 7,000 people.
