The report states that 40 persons were killed and 24 are missing. 24,408 people from 8,224 households have been affected. 9,647 houses and 44,046 hectares of farmland have been inundated.

728 ha. of farmland was either submerged or washed away.
The total number of telephone lines down was 28,684 in Munsan, Yonchon, Chonkok and Uijeongbu in Kyonggi Province, and Chorwon in Kangwon Province but this figure is steadily increasing.
In Seoul, the Chamsoo Bridge is under observation for possible closure, and other bridges in flood areas at Yonchon, Pochon and Chorwon are already closed.

A flood warning was issued at 0900 hrs on July 30 for the central area of the Republic of Korea which includes Kyonggi and Kangwon Provinces.
