The Sichuan provincial disaster relief office confirmed 102 people dead and 35 missing. In Chongqing Municipality, the disaster relief office confirmed the death toll jumped to 75, 25 missing and 2,513 injured.

From 3 to 5 September, a heavy storm hit the northeast region of the Sichuan Province, including cities of Nanchong, Bazhong, Dazhou, Mianyang, Guangan, Guangyuan, Yaan and Liangshan.
