Outline Torrential rains starting on 8 February 2013 caused flooding and landslides in the Arequipa province of southern Peru. Five people were killed, 75 injured and 48,000 affected.

Heavy rains in early February affected several communities in the department of Arequipa, affecting 57,700 people. Some 730 people are homeless and five have died. At least 6,130 houses have been damaged and 175 destroyed.
