Online Tsunami Seminar

Background:

Since its inception in 1998, Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC) has been promoting Tsunami Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in a wide range of activities such as tsunami damage surveys, researches, conferences and workshops, and training courses. Especially since World Tsunami Awareness Day was adopted by the UN General Assembly in December 2015, ADRC has addressed itself to Tsunami awareness raising and its importance at various occasions.
In 2020, the lecture series is planned to present research findings by multidisciplinary experts.

Objectives:

The lecture series is intended for showing and sharing the latest research findings and expertise by Tsunami DRR experts to ADRC member countries and DRR organizations as well as academia and the general.

Format and Schedule:

Considering the COVID-19 situation, the lectures are conducted three times online using Zoom webinar as follows.
